Better-IT have just completed a series of upgrades to a letting agent in Leicester, including moving all staff onto Microsoft Office 365.

Like many businesses, their network and software had evolved over time leaving them with  a mixture of Office 2013, 2010 and 2007 licenses. This can lead to compatibility issues and periodic spikes in IT costs when expensive new licenses or upgrades need to be purchased. And of course, there is the additional IT Support that this work requires.

One of the benefits of moving to Microsoft Office 365 (and other cloud based solutions) which is not often talked about is how it enables businesses to standardise software versions.

Switching to Office 365 has put everyone in the business on the same version of Microsoft Office and will keep them there, because Office 365 users are always entitled to the latest Office software and updates.

It also has the benefit of allowing them to install Office on up to 5 other devices, such as laptops or home computers – although making it easier to work at home may not be seen as a benefit.
